We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Food Service Assistant /  Kitchen Hand  to join us at our Moonee Ponds Home on a casual basis.

About your role:

As a Kitchen Hand using your previous hospitality experience, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving and clean-up of meals to our residents. You will bring a strong commitment to customer service, food safety, and an understanding of special dietary requirements that will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of our residents.

You will therefore hold strong communication skills combined with the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with residents and colleagues.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
• Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
• Preparation and cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program

What You’ll Bring:

• Organised, can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across any day of the week
• Previous experience in Hotel Services (Kitchen) within an Aged Care Environment     (Highly Desirable) 
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety

Essential Requirements:

• Current Police check clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Proof of Work rights in Australia
